Cover Supervisor

We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and motivated Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is passionate about supporting high-quality learning and positive outcomes for all pupils.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will take responsibility for classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring pupils remain engaged in learning activities and that lessons run smoothly and effectively. You will confidently supervise classes across the primary age range and support pupils in accessing their learning, including providing assistance with literacy, numeracy and organisational skills where required.

Working closely with teachers and colleagues, you will ensure that pupils are supported to achieve their best, provide feedback on learning, and contribute to maintaining a safe, positive and stimulating learning environment. The role also includes assisting with the preparation of resources, supporting the organisation of staff cover arrangements, undertaking administrative duties and contributing to the wider life of the school.

We are looking for someone who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a calm and confident approach, and the ability to build positive relationships with children and adults alike. You will be organised, adaptable and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience of working with primary-aged children is desirable, although applicants with transferable skills and a strong commitment to supporting children are encouraged to apply.
