The Role

We are looking for a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join a primary school in Castle Bromwich.

You will work closely with one child who has Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Your role will be to give the child the support they need each day.

You will help them:

• Take part in lessons.
• Complete classroom tasks.
• Build confidence.
• Develop new skills.
• Stay focused.
• Follow the school day.
• Build positive relationships.
• Become more independent.

You will work with the class teacher and school staff to support the child.

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

The role is available for an immediate start.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Able to work well with teachers and other staff.

You must have experience working with children.

Experience in a primary school is useful.

Experience supporting children with SEN or SEND is also useful.

You may have worked with children with:

• Autism.
• ADHD.
• Learning needs.
• Behaviour needs.
• Communication needs.
• Additional support needs.

You do not need a formal qualification for this role.

A qualification in Teaching, Education, Childcare, SEN or Supporting Teaching and Learning is preferred, but it is not essential.

Your experience, attitude and ability to support children are what matter most.
