General Labourer - Job Description

Job Title: General Labourer

Location: Dartmouth (TQ6)

Job Purpose:
To provide general manual support on construction sites, warehouses, factories, or other work environments, helping skilled workers and ensuring the workplace is clean, safe, and organised.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, move, and store materials and equipment.

• Assist skilled tradespeople with general tasks.

• Keep work areas clean, tidy, and free from hazards.

• Use basic hand tools and equipment safely.

• Follow instructions from supervisors and site managers.

• Help with deliveries and moving materials around the site.

• Dispose of waste and materials appropriately.

• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

• Wear required PPE and report unsafe conditions.

• Carry out other reasonable duties as required.

Requirements:

• Physically fit and able to carry out manual work.

• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.

• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

• Good awareness of health and safety.

• Previous labouring experience is useful but may not be essential.

• Relevant site qualifications such as a CSCS card may be required for construction work.
