Job Title: Building Surveying Manager
Location: Ipswich, Suffolk
Salary: £51,000 per annum
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
We are seeking a Building Surveying Manager to lead a technical surveying team in Ipswich on behalf of a public sector organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of building surveyors and technical officers.
Oversee capital projects, planned maintenance, and structural compliance across property and housing portfolios.
Act as Contract Administrator / Employer's Agent on major works (JCT/NEC).
Diagnose structural defects and manage damp/mould remediation programmes.
Manage capital budgets, gateway reports, and contractor performance.
Requirements:
MRICS, MCIOB, or AssocRICS (or equivalent public sector surveying experience).
Strong background in contract administration and building pathology.
Proven team management and budget handling experience.
Full UK Driving Licence and proximity to Ipswich.
Package:
Salary: £51,000 per annum
