Admin Officer
Location: London, E2-9RD Monday- Friday 9am-5pm Pay rate: £12.71ph

Our Client is hiring for an Admin Officer and is looking for an administrative professional to help keep essential processes moving-supporting people on probation and ensuring records, referrals and communications are handled efficiently, sensitively and on time.
What you'll be doing:
* Set up and maintain accurate information relating to people on probation and victims on approved databases
* Support the administration of referrals and coordination between offender management, victims, interventions, service providers and external agencies
* Prepare, maintain and collate case records, files and management information to required standards
* Receive and distribute communications by telephone, email and paper, ensuring messages are handled appropriately
* Provide cover for reception and telephone enquiries, contributing to an effective frontline service
* Act as a single point of contact within the unit for specialist areas as required
* Make practical arrangements for the implementation of sentence plans (appointments, directions and similar)
* Carry out enforcement administration tasks as required
* Issue petty cash/vouchers/warrants for travel costs when needed, keeping accurate records in line with local procedures
* Organise equipment, materials and facilities for case-related activities; report faulty items and arrange replacements/repairs
* Support meetings (including organising agenda and taking/distributing notes, minutes and action points)
* Ensure activities follow Health & Safety processes, including carrying out equipment tests where required
* Undertake safeguarding children duties in line with statutory responsibilities and agency policies
* Provide pro-social modelling by reinforcing positive behaviour and challenging anti-social attitudes
What you'll bring:

* Confidence working with sensitive and confidential information, following required policies and procedures
* Strong communication skills (verbal and written), able to engage with a wide range of people, including those who may be in crisis or distressed
* Ability to work on your own initiative and adapt to changing priorities
* Competence with databases, plus good keyboard and IT skills
* Proficiency in MS Office Word and basic Excel skills
* A calm, fair and firm approach-knowing when and how to seek appropriate support

* You'll be expected to be able to fulfil spoken aspects of the role confidently in English
