About the role

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Plant Operator to join a highly skilled team in Aberdeen. The role is ideal for applicants with a mechanical background looking for a long-term contract, starting as soon as possible. Location and Working Pattern Based in Aberdeen, working Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week. The initial contract runs for six months. Client Overview On behalf of our client, NRL is recruiting for a Plant Operator to support a leading engineering business committed to safe and efficient operations. ResponsibilitiesOperate plant machinery and equipment safely and in line with proceduresMonitor process performance, gauges, control panels and instrumentationCarry out routine equipment inspections to identify faults or potential issuesConduct basic maintenance and housekeeping tasksRecord operational and maintenance data accuratelyReport defects, breakdowns and safety concerns promptlyComply with health, safety, environmental and quality standardsLoad and unload materials, products or wasteSupport plant start-up, shutdown and emergency response proceduresAssist maintenance teams during outages or repair workMaintain a clean, tidy and safe workspaceFollow permit-to-work systems and site-specific proceduresUse authorised mobile plant equipment such as forklifts or cranesTake part in toolbox talks, safety briefings and improvement initiativesWork collaboratively with operations, engineering and maintenance teamsMust‑have RequirementsCity & Guilds qualification in a mechanical discipline or equivalent NVQKnowledge of plant operations and industrial processesStrong commitment to health and safetyEffective troubleshooting, communication and teamwork skillsAttention to detail with accurate record keepingNice‑to‑have SkillsForklift Truck Licence (training can be provided)Apply Now If this Plant Operator role in Aberdeen sounds like the right fit, please apply today by submitting your CV.
