Working Hours: Days & Afternoons

Monday–Friday, 6:30am–3pm / 2:00pm–10:30pm

Candour Talent are currently recruiting for a Food Production Operative to join our well-established client based in the Blackwood area.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure optimal performance and product quality

• Follow established HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) protocols to maintain food safety standards

• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and products to identify any issues or defects

• Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets while maintaining high-quality standards

• Perform basic maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot minor issues as needed

• Maintain accurate records of production data and perform basic math calculations for inventory and output tracking

• Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the work area in compliance with health and safety regulations

• Pack and wrap completed products

• Weigh and portion ingredients accurately

• Carry out heavy lifting and rotate between different production roles as required

Skills

• Previous experience in food production or a similar fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential

• Familiarity with HACCP principles and food safety regulations is advantageous

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate production equipment effectively

• Basic mathematical skills for accurate record-keeping and inventory management

• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well within a team

• Own transport is essential due to the location
