£28,000 + benefits

We are working with a successful business based in Derry City to appoint their new Accounts Assistant.

Reporting into management and working within the finance team you will;

• Support the Financial Controller and Accounts team with day-to-day finance administration and record keeping
• Manage the sales ledger and credit control, including raising invoices, allocating payments, reconciling accounts, issuing statements and following up overdue balances
• Check and reconcile daily sales, payments, deposits and banking records, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly
• Maintain accurate financial records and provide administrative support, including filing, data entry, inbox management, month-end schedules and reconciliations
• Work collaboratively and professionally across departments, maintaining confidentiality, following financial controls and escalating errors, unusual transactions or potential fraud when required

What we are looking for…

• Accounts experience to include sales/purchase ledger, credit control etc
• Confident IT skills to include accounts / business systems
• Good numeracy and attention to detail
• Experience with corporate billing, event invoicing, deposits, card settlements or high volume transactions is desirable
