About the role
Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Design SME - VP
Location: London
We are looking for an experienced CDD Design SME to join the Second Line of Defence and help shape and strengthen the bank's Financial Crime control environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide SME expertise across the end-to-end CDD lifecycle, including CRA, ID&V, KYC, EDD and ODD.
- Design and optimize risk-based CDD controls, translating regulatory and policy requirements into practical solutions.
- Define and challenge business, risk and control requirements and target-state designs.
- Support technology-enabled CDD controls, with a strong understanding of systems, workflows and data.
- Work closely with Compliance, Business, Technology, Data and Change teams across complex transformation programmes.
Key Requirements
- Strong CDD/KYC and Financial Crime experience within banking or financial services.
- Proven experience in CDD control design, optimization and transformation - beyond BAU/operational CDD.
- Strong knowledge of UK and international AML/Financial Crime regulations and risk-based controls.
- Experience with requirements gathering target-state design and technology-enabled controls.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Broader Financial Crime experience across Sanctions, ABC or Anti-Tax Evasion would be advantageous.
