Class Teacher

Essential Criteria

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience of primary teaching, including teaching placements
• Secure primary subject and curriculum knowledge
• Effective planning, teaching and assessment
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and positive behaviour
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach

Desirable Criteria

• Experience teaching across year groups or phases
• Experience contributing to shared planning
• Evidence of improving outcomes for pupils
• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs
• Contribution to curriculum or school improvement
• Experience sharing effective practice with colleagues
• Interests that enrich the wider life of the school
