In this meaningful and hands-on position, you’ll support children during either our before and after school provision. You'll help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive space where children can thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and engaging children in fun and enriching activities
  • Creating a welcoming, nurturing environment that promotes wellbeing
  • Supporting children’s social and emotional development
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality care
  • Adapting your approach to meet the needs of children aged 3 to 11

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Has experience working with primary-aged children (desirable, not essential)
  • Is passionate about inclusion, wellbeing, and child development
  • Brings flexibility, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude
  • Communicates well and thrives in a team setting
  • Can adapt quickly to different situations and age groups

Peakirk is a proud member of PDET, alongside 36 other schools in the Rutland, Peterborough and Northamptonshire area. PDET is responsible for employing all staff and managing the finances and other central services for the Academies in the Trust. These services include HR support; facilities and premises; procurement and school effectiveness.
