We’re looking for an experienced Private Client Tax Manager to join our client on a permanent basis in Kendal, Cumbria. You’ll become part of a collaborative national Tax Consultancy team, leading tax advisory and planning projects, building trusted client relationships and delivering proactive advice across a varied portfolio.

As a result of continued growth, our client is looking for an experienced Private Client Tax Manager to join their team in Kendal. You’ll work closely with clients and colleagues across the wider tax team to deliver high-quality Private Client Tax advisory services, leading new client meetings, identifying advisory opportunities and providing proactive tax planning advice tailored to individual circumstances.
Alongside managing a varied portfolio of client work, you’ll oversee key projects across the service line, reviewing work completed by other team members and monitoring work in progress, recoveries and billing. You’ll also have formal line management responsibility for Tax Seniors and Trainees, supporting their development and providing technical guidance, while responding to ad hoc tax queries from colleagues across the wider firm when required.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within the Accountancy, Tax or Financial Services sector, with a strong background in working directly with clients and delivering an exceptional level of service. You’ll have experience leading tax advisory projects, alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues across the wider firm.
You’ll be a collaborative team player, confident working with colleagues across multiple teams and office locations to deliver high-quality client work. CTA qualification would be highly desirable, as would specialist knowledge of Agricultural Tax and Trust matters and the ability to provide advice across these areas. A full UK driving licence is essential for this position.
