Physician: Clinical Neurophysiology (Consultant)

We are currently seeking a Consultant Clinical Neurophysiologist to support a service in the East of England.

This long-term locum opportunity offers a structured 2.5-day-per-week commitment, providing consistent work within a specialist neurophysiology service. The role is ideal for an experienced Consultant with expertise in EMG, EEG, NCS, and neurophysiology reporting, who is confident working independently while supporting wider clinical service delivery.

You will be working alongside established clinical teams, providing specialist neurophysiology diagnostics and reporting services, while contributing to the delivery of safe, effective patient care.

• Shift Pattern: Monday & Tuesday 09:00-17:00, Wednesday 09:00-13:00
• Commitment: 2.5 Days per Week
• Pay Method: PAYE / Inside IR35

• Deliver specialist Clinical Neurophysiology services within a hospital setting
• Undertake 3 clinical EMG sessions per week
• Provide urgent inpatient ward EMG assessments when required
• Review and report Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) from scientist-led clinics
• Report outpatient and inpatient EEG investigations
• Report Hyperventilation Test (HVT) EEG studies
• Review and report Evoked Potential (EP) investigations
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support timely patient care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting standards
• Contribute to a safe, effective, and responsive neurophysiology service

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• Consultant-level experience in Clinical Neurophysiology
• Experience reporting EMG, NCS, EEG, HVT EEG, and EP investigations
• Recent NHS experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication, reporting, and clinical decision-making skills
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
