We are recruiting for a skilled Manual Grinder to join an established engineering business in Poole, working a 4-day week. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in manual grinding who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality components.
The Role
- Setting and operating manual grinding machinery
- Grinding components to tight tolerances and customer specifications
- Working from detailed engineering drawings
- Measuring components using precision inspection equipment
- Carrying out in-process and final inspection
- Working with a range of materials and component sizes
- Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
- Previous experience as a Manual Grinder
- Confident reading and working from engineering drawings
- Good understanding of tolerances and precision measurement
- Experience working within a precision engineering environment
- Able to work accurately and independently
- Quality-focused with good attention to detail
- £35,000–£40,000 DOE
- 4-day working week
- Poole
