Join a growing consumer products business supplying some of the most well known retailers. This trend-focused business have a brand new Account Executive job in Christchurch. This is an opportunity to build a career across national account management, product development and project management, with real ownership of projects and exposure to major retail customers in the health and beauty industry.
About the role
The Account Executive role combines account management, project management and commercial understanding. This is a busy role with plenty going on, but also one where you can see projects through to completion and build a strong foundation for your commercial career.
Initially, you’ll be covering market research, administration and samples, giving you a solid understanding of how the business operates, before gradually taking on your own areas of the major account you’ll be supporting.
Key responsibilities
- Develop a strong understanding of the retailer you are working with, building relationships to continue growth and product listings.
- Attend regular customer meetings to maintain accounts and present new products.
- Build strong relationships with, and collaborate across the internal teams across product, operations, commercial and technical in addition to teams in the Far East.
- Regular trade visits
- Monitor sales performance weekly
- Provide regular sales reports across the account base

What you’ll need
We’re looking for someone who is commercially minded, organised and confident building relationships. You may already have experience in account management, retail, buying, product, sales or project coordination. Experience working with major retailers is beneficial but not essential.
