This is a senior-level position with a clear progression path to becoming Service Centre Manager. * This opportunity is ideal for an experienced technician or engineer with controls experience, leadership ambition and a hands-on bias towards solving complex technical challenges. The successful candidate will contribute to both operational performance and technical innovation across the customer base and product lines, with regular involvement in real-world commissions, diagnostics and system upgrades. Responsibilities: * Lead day-to-day Service Centre operations, ensuring efficient and responsive customer service. * Manage Service Centre activities, prioritising work to deliver a responsive and reliable service to customers. * Diagnose and resolve electrical and control system faults on both legacy and modern equipment, remotely and at customer sites. * Carry out installation, commissioning, testing and technical support visits in the UK and internationally. * Advise customers on equipment operation and processing issues, working with specialist colleagues where needed. * Create and maintain accurate electrical CAD drawings and technical records. External CAD training can be provided. * Coordinate with internal sales and production teams to ensure work is completed safely, on time and to the required standard. * Identify opportunities to support customers through spare parts, upgrades and service agreements. Experience Requirements: * Strong experience in industrial electrical engineering and control systems. * Substantial practical experience in industrial electrical engineering, machinery controls and fault finding. * Sound working knowledge of current UK electrical safety requirements, particularly the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, and the ability to apply safe isolation, testing and working practices during installation, maintenance and fault finding. * Awareness of applicable UK machinery safety requirements and relevant standards for the electrical equipment of machines, including BS EN (phone number removed). * Experience with AC inverter and servo drives; occasional work with DC drives may be required. * Experience with temperature and pressure control systems. * Basic PLC fault finding skills, including the ability to back up, load and restore software supplied by the parent company. * A practical, methodical approach to solving technical problems, with the confidence to work on site and communicate clearly with customers. * Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally. * Experience using electrical CAD software, such as AutoCAD Electrical an advantage but training provided.
