Liverpool, Merseyside Experis Application Manager, Functions Technology Liverpool | Hybrid Working £Competitive + Benefits We're working with a highly respected financial services organisation seeking an experienced Application Manager to lead the operational management of a critical portfolio of enterprise applications supporting Finance, HR, Risk, Compliance and other corporate functions. This is an excellent opportunity for a service-focused technology leader to take ownership of a complex application environment, driving service stability, operational resilience, supplier performance and continuous improvement across a business-critical portfolio. The Role As Application Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day performance, governance and lifecycle management of a portfolio of enterprise applications. Working closely with senior business stakeholders, technology teams and third-party suppliers, you'll ensure services remain secure, reliable and aligned to business priorities. You'll lead application support teams, oversee major incidents and service improvements, manage supplier relationships and ensure all applications operate within regulatory, security and governance requirements. Key responsibilities include: Owning application service performance, availability and operational resilience Leading major incident, problem and change management activities Managing strategic technology suppliers and service partners Driving service improvements and reducing recurring issues Ensuring effective governance, risk management and audit compliance Supporting application change, service transition and operational readiness activities Providing clear reporting on service health, risks, costs and priorities Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance, HR, Risk and Compliance functions Leading and developing internal application support capability About You We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience managing enterprise application portfolios within complex corporate environments. You'll ideally have: Experience as an Application Manager, Service Delivery Manager, IT Service Manager or similar Strong knowledge of enterprise applications and SaaS environments Practical experience of ITIL and service management best practices Experience leading major incidents, problem management and service improvement initiatives Strong supplier and vendor management experience Knowledge of application security, access management and operational controls Experience working within regulated environments such as Financial Services, Insurance, Utilities or other highly governed sectors Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Desirable Experience ITIL certification Financial Services or Wealth Management experience Experience managing application support teams and matrix resources Exposure to audit, risk and regulatory frameworks Why Apply?
