Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role within a welcoming primary school?

We are currently seeking a Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Newton-le-Willows. This is a morning-only position (08:30am – 12:30pm), providing classroom support and helping pupils achieve their full potential in a positive learning environment.

The Role:

• Supporting the Year 4 class with daily learning activities.
• Working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons.
• Providing support to pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis.
• Assisting with literacy and numeracy activities across the curriculum.
• Encouraging pupil participation, confidence, and independence.
• Helping to maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.

The Successful Candidate Will:

• Have previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, educational, or similar setting.
• Be confident supporting pupils across the primary curriculum.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be patient, enthusiastic, and passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.
• Work effectively as part of a team and use their own initiative when required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children is essential.
• An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• The right to work in the UK.
• Suitable references covering recent employment.
