Teaching Assistant 

West Monkton C of E Primary School, part of The Oak Partnership Trust, is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join their team.

We are seeking a flexible and adaptable individual who can respond positively to the varying needs of our pupils and school. The successful candidate will provide support to pupils on a 1:1 basis, as well as working with small intervention groups.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 support for pupils with a range of specific SEND needs, as required.
• Supporting and delivering learning activities with small intervention groups.
• Putting into practice adaptations to learning as identified by class teachers and the SENDCo.
• Working collaboratively with class teachers, the Pastoral Assistant and fellow Teaching Assistants to provide effective support for pupils.

Desirable experience:

• Previous experience of working within an educational setting.
• Experience of supporting pupils with SEND.
• Experience of working with children with High Needs.

Salary: Grade 15 point 3, £17,571 per annum, pro rata

Hours of work:  30hrs 25min per week.  Term time only - 38 weeks per year

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31 August 2027
