Local Immigration Expert

Morson Edge are hiring for a client looking for a Local Immigration Expert to provide specialist UK immigration support across the business. The successful candidate will manage immigration processes for business travellers, international assignees, and non-UK/non-Irish recruits, ensuring compliance with Home Office regulations and Airbus immigration policies.

Job Description
We are looking for a Local Immigration Expert UK (m/f) for our Immigration Centre of Expertise (CoE) within the Global Mobility Compliance team based in Toulouse (Blagnac site), France.

You will be based in the UK, Filton site.
Our Immigration CoE main challenge is to accompany the business and the employees on their legal obligations associated with immigration requirements around Business Travel / Short-Term assignments and external recruitments.

Your challenges
Business Travel / Short-Term Assignments
 ? Manage interface with External Immigration Consultants currently in charge of immigration administration of moves to the UK in order to ensure the initial and continuing right to work of employees going on “short international move” therefore ensuring compliance with EU and national laws.
 ? Collect & provide all the necessary data needed by the provider to manage the administrative visa requests according to country combination and activity performed from the business / HRBPs (job description, salary info, home and host entity details etc…).
 ? Manage A1 certificate requests + Health Insurance certificates if applicable.
 ? Collect on a regular basis the company information and any other official documents (such as KBIS etc…) and share them with the provider.
 ? Ensure a global tracking of employees’ visa expiry dates.
 ? Provide a one-stop shop for internal purposes (HR Managers, HRBPs, Line Managers, Recruitment Business Partners, Customer Services, Reward Operations, Global Mobility and Security):
 ? advice, guidance, support to applications and coordination
 ? organisation of awareness sessions on immigration rules
 ? consolidation of knowledge with transnational HR (GM, SPIR international)
 ? contribution to the collaborative network of local Immigration Experts
 ? legal monitoring
External recruitments of non-UK/non-Irish nationals
 ? Manage the immigration steps in the End-To-End External Recruitment process of non-UK/non-Irish nationals (actions performed in and outside the HR tool):
 ? Contact the selected candidate
 ? Check their immigration title
 ? If applicable, initiate the immigration provider and follow up the case
 ? Once issued, review the immigration documents and confirm in the HR tool
Other responsibilities
 ? Manage the employees’ visa renewals and change of employment applications.
 ? Ensure our sponsor licence responsibilities with the Home Office are met.
 ? Handle external provider financial management.
 ? Contribute to national and transnational key projects.

Background
Diploma/Certification or strong experience in UK immigration mandatory.
Diploma in labour law would be a plus.
Relevant experience in working with external bodies/organisations would also be a plus.
Demonstrated experience in negotiation and managing operational tasks to a high standard.
