HGV Driver – Removals

We are seeking a dynamic and reliable HGV Removals Driver to join our energetic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to transport household and commercial items efficiently and securely. Your expertise in commercial driving and delivery will ensure smooth relocations for our customers, providing a seamless moving experience. Duties

• Safely operate HGVs, including flatbed trucks, to transport goods between locations with precision and care
• Load and unload items carefully, ensuring all cargo is secured properly for transit
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
• Plan optimal routes for timely deliveries and pickups, adjusting as needed for traffic or road conditions
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
• Assist with the assembly or disassembly of furniture or large items when necessary
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance

Qualifications

• Valid HGV driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a commercial delivery driver, preferably with HGV or flatbed trucks
• Knowledge of road safety regulations and compliance standards for commercial vehicles
• Experience with delivery routes and navigation systems
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and securing heavy or bulky items
• Strong communication skills and a professional attitude on the road
• Familiarity with flatbed operations and securing loads effectively is highly desirable
