SEMH Tutor

DY5, Delph, Dudley Remedy Education SEND / SEMH Tutor – 1:1 Tuition Remedy Tutors are looking for experienced and dedicated Tutors / Teachers to support young people who require additional educational and pastoral support. We work with schools, local authorities and families to provide 1:1 and small-group tuition across a range of settings, including home, community venues, libraries and online. The role We are looking for tutors who can provide engaging, structured tuition while building a positive relationship with the learner. Experience supporting young people with SEND, SEMH, Autism and/or ADHD would be highly beneficial. You may be supporting learners who: * Are currently out of school or struggling to access mainstream education * Have gaps in their learning and need a personalised approach * Experience anxiety, low confidence or difficulties with transitions * Benefit from clear routines, structure and tasks broken into manageable steps * Need additional encouragement and reassurance to engage with learning * Respond well to patient, consistent and relationship-based support What we're looking for Ideally, you will have: * Experience delivering 1:1 tuition or teaching * Strong knowledge of English and/or Maths * Experience working with SEND / SEMH learners * A calm, patient and adaptable approach * 10 hours per week, 2 hours per day * The ability to build trust and rapport with young people * Good understanding of scaffolding, differentiation and personalised learning * Strong communication and safeguarding awareness * QTS, PGCE, teaching qualification or relevant tutoring experience Why work with Remedy Tutors? * Flexible tutoring opportunities * 1:1 and small-group assignments * Opportunities across a range of locations and settings * Support from a dedicated consultant * Regular opportunities for ongoing work across Derby * Work that makes a genuine difference to young people's education and confidence If you're an experienced Tutor or Teacher looking for flexible SEND/SEMH tuition work, I'd be keen tohear from you.
