ProMedical is currently seeking an experienced Locum Consultant Breast Radiologist to join an NHS service in the East of England.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Radiologist with specialist breast imaging experience to support an established service and provide high-quality diagnostic care as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The Role

The successful Consultant will provide specialist breast radiology services, working closely with the wider clinical team to support timely diagnosis and high-quality patient care.

Key responsibilities may include:

• Providing Consultant-level breast radiology services.
• Interpreting and reporting breast imaging examinations.
• Supporting the assessment and diagnosis of breast conditions.
• Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings where required.
• Working collaboratively with radiologists, surgeons, oncologists and other clinical colleagues.
• Supporting junior colleagues and contributing to teaching where appropriate.
• Contributing to clinical governance, audit and service development.
• Maintaining high standards of patient safety and professional practice.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Specialist Register status in Clinical Radiology, or relevant Consultant-level experience.
• Previous NHS Consultant-level experience in Radiology.
• Specialist experience in breast radiology and breast imaging.
• Strong diagnostic and reporting skills.
• Experience working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills.
• Commitment to clinical governance and high-quality patient care.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience within an NHS Breast Imaging service.
• Experience contributing to breast multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Experience with a broad range of breast imaging modalities.
• Previous teaching, audit or service development experience.
