Purchase to Pay - Business Process Analyst

W&A is partnering with a business to recruit a Business Process Analyst - Purchase to Pay on a 2-year fixed-term contract. The role will support a wider finance transformation programme, with a particular focus on documenting, standardising and improving end-to-end Purchase to Pay processes and turning analysis into practical process improvements.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Purchase to Pay Workstream Lead, you will provide analytical and delivery support across the P2P workstream. You will help map and improve processes spanning supplier onboarding, purchase ordering, invoice processing, approvals and payments, while supporting the implementation of more consistent ways of working across Finance and Procurement.

The role combines process analysis with hands-on transformation delivery. You will use process improvement techniques, including LEAN or similar methodologies, to identify inefficiencies, support root cause analysis and help move agreed changes through detailed design, implementation and handover into business as usual.

Key Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the Purchase to Pay workstream, coordinating inputs, tracking actions and enabling effective stakeholder engagement.
• Document P2P processes, operating principles, service expectations, responsibilities and hand-offs across the end-to-end process.
• Analyse current processes to identify opportunities for standardisation, simplification and efficiency improvement.
• Apply LEAN or similar techniques to support root cause analysis, waste reduction, cycle-time improvement and stronger process controls.
• Support process design across supplier onboarding, purchase ordering, invoice processing, approvals, payments and related controls.
• Contribute to workstream outputs including process requirements, KPI definitions, reporting requirements and governance materials.
• Track risks, issues and dependencies across Finance, Procurement, organisation design, systems activity and adjacent finance processes.
• Support requirements and readiness activity for workflow tools, automation and other enabling solutions.
• Prepare clear materials and updates for governance discussions, stakeholder communication and change activity.

What You'll Bring

• Experience in business process analysis, process improvement or delivery support within Finance, Purchase to Pay, Accounts Payable or a transformation environment.
• Experience applying LEAN or similar process improvement methodologies to standardisation, root cause analysis, waste elimination or cycle-time improvement.
• Exposure to finance change, project or programme activity, ideally within a structured delivery environment.
• A good understanding of core P2P processes and controls, including supplier onboarding, purchase ordering, invoice processing, approvals and payments.
• Strong analytical, documentation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate findings into clear, practical outputs.
• Good planning, organisation, stakeholder engagement and communication skills across Finance, Procurement and wider teams.
• Confident use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
