Looking for a Site Manager role with an established civil engineering contractor delivering a strong pipeline of projects across Yorkshire?

We're recruiting for an established civil engineering contractor looking to strengthen their operational team with an experienced Site Manager.

The business delivers a varied portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the region and is looking for someone who can take responsibility for the day-to-day running of site, managing everything from labour and subcontractors through to programme, quality, safety and materials.

This would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on with delivery, can keep a site organised and moving, and takes pride in delivering work safely and to a high standard.

The Role;

• Take day-to-day responsibility for the successful delivery of civil engineering projects
• Plan and coordinate direct labour, subcontractors and site resources
• Manage short-term programmes and ensure works remain on schedule
• Coordinate plant, materials and deliveries to keep projects moving efficiently
• Maintain high standards of health & safety across site
• Manage site records, documentation and project reporting
• Work closely with engineers, commercial teams and senior management
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders

What We're Looking For;

• Previous experience as a Site Manager, Site Agent or experienced General Foreman within civil engineering
• Strong understanding of site delivery and construction methodology
• Experience managing direct labour and subcontractors
• Good knowledge of health & safety and quality requirements
• Ability to plan labour, plant and materials effectively
• Confident managing projects and making day-to-day decisions on site
• Strong communication and organisational skills
