Assistant Project Manager - Civils Construction

Assistant Project Manager required to work on a £multi-billion construction project in Essex.

If you have experience of working on the delivery stages of complex civil engineering/construction projects within a highly regulated industry, this would be a greta role for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Project Manager with the delivery of complex civils construction projects
• Co-ordinating project activities across design, construction and delivery phases
• Monitoring progress, programme milestones, risks, issues and project dependencies
• Supporting the management of contractors, consultants and project stakeholders
• Assisting with project reporting, documentation, governance and change control
• Ensuring construction activities are delivered in line with quality, health and safety and regulatory requirements
• Contributing to effective communication across multidisciplinary project teams

Job Requirements:

• Experience in project management within complex civil engineering or construction programmes
• Practical experience of working through construction stages of major projects
• Understanding of project controls, risk management, progress reporting and change management
• Experience gained within a highly regulated industry, such as airports, rail, nuclear or water
• Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with contractors, consultants and internal teams
• Good understanding of construction processes, governance and compliance requirements
