Site Construction Manager

Description: SS Site Construction Managers experienced in the principles of construction and the commissioning of major transmission overhead line works, substations, and/or underground cables. The Site Construction Manager will be crucial in managing the development and construction of a new 400kV Overhead Line and Substation build ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, environmental and quality standards. These are site-based roles: You will - Be measuring completed works against set KPIs to support assessment of payment applications and the management of NEC Contracts (or similar). You will ensure site activities comply with planning consents and SHE legislation and ensure that the Contractor is providing sufficiently detailed weekly reporting as part of the project deliverables.  - Monitor and record key deliverables including earthworks, civils construction, substation/overhead line construction and commissioning activities.   - Ensure the project is executed in accordance with relevant requirements, particularly statutory and legal obligations, health & safety, Construction (Design and Management) Regulations, quality & technical compliance (such as ITPs), internal & external stakeholder management.  - Represent the Client's business on-site, being the key point of contact for the project, interacting proactively with the appointed contractor(s) and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the works are delivered to the project programme, with appropriate resource levels and in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.  - Develop effective positive relationships with contractors, suppliers and the community, acting as a leader on site and champion for an effective and collaborative safety culture.  You have - Strong engineering and construction knowledge including safety and the application of CDM 2015 Regulations.
