Assistant Accountant

Castle Employment Group are delighted to be working with a well-established and successful local organisation to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking for a varied role within a supportive team, with plenty of opportunity to develop your accounting experience.

The Role Working closely with the wider finance team, you will support a variety of accounting activities and play an important role in ensuring accurate and timely financial information.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing and reconciling accounts receivable and payable
• Supporting month-end processes and reporting
• Preparing accruals and prepayments
• Assisting with fixed asset accounting
• Supporting payroll-related calculations
• Producing financial reports and statistics
• Assisting with audit requirements
• Investigating and resolving financial discrepancies
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects

About You We're looking for someone with previous experience within an accounts or finance environment who is confident working with numbers and has a strong eye for detail.

You'll ideally be:

• Organised and able to manage your own workload
• Confident working with Excel and accounting systems
• Accurate and detail-focused
• Comfortable working to deadlines
• A strong communicator and team player
• Keen to develop your accounting knowledge and career

This could be an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant looking to progress, or an existing Assistant Accountant looking for their next challenge.
