Sales Ledger Clerk

DE21, Chaddesden, Derby Astute Recruitment Astute Recruitment are working with an established business in Derby to recruit a Sales Ledger Clerk on a permanent basis. The Role Will Involve: * Managing sales invoicing and ensuring entries are accurate * Allocating cash and reconciling incoming payments * Handling customer queries professionally and promptly * Supporting with debt chasing, although this is minimal as the majority of customers pay on time * Carrying out credit checks on new customers using CreditSafe * Maintaining accurate sales ledger records * Working closely with the wider finance team * Supporting with general finance duties where required The Ideal Candidate: * Previous experience within a Sales Ledger, Accounts Receivable or similar finance role * Previous Xero experience is essential * Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills * Confident communicator with good problem-solving ability * Positive and proactive approach to working in a busy office environment * Comfortable working independently while contributing to a wider finance team Benefits & Hours: * Salary: Up to £30,000 depending on experience * 4-day working week with full-time salary * Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch * 20 days holiday plus bank holidays * Annual Christmas bonus * Christmas hamper
