Nursery Assistant (EYFS Level 2)

The Governors of the Queens’ Federation are seeking to appoint a temporary full time L2 EYFS Nursery Assistant to work in the 2 year old room at Queen Emma Nursery.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed person to work as a part of our dedicated Nursery team. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage, have the ability to work as part of a team and develop positive and effective relationships with colleagues, children and their parents.

Essential:

• Patience, calmness, enthusiasm, flexibility, initiative and empathy
  
• Level 2 Early Years qualification
• Experience working in a nursery or childcare setting
• Knowledge of EYFS
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and families
• Reliable, caring and professional attitude
• Understanding of inclusion and diversity
• Experience of observations and assessments
• Ability to plan engaging activities

Desirable:

• Level 3 Early Years qualification
• Paediatric First Aid qualification
