Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting Production Operatives to work at one of our well-established clients in the Newport area.

What We Offer

• £12.85 per hour plus shift premiums.

• Day, afternoon and night shift patterns.

• Full training provided for operating robots manually.

Key Duties

• Operate machinery to assist in the production process.

• Conduct visual quality checks of all products.

• Load and unload products onto the production line.

• Undertake manual handling activities.

• Operate robots manually if any problems occur, with full training provided.

• Run the Oxide Mill, working with pure lead and heat torches.

• Abide by all Health & Safety guidelines.

• Ensure good housekeeping and 5S standards are maintained within the area of responsibility.

Requirements

• Previous experience with heavy industry products and hot metals.

• Numerate and literate, with GCSE passes in Mathematics and English Language desirable.

• PC literate, with knowledge of Microsoft beneficial.

• Robotic knowledge would be an advantage.

• Knowledge of the FIFO system is desirable.

• Enthusiastic with a responsible attitude.

• Common-sense approach with good interpersonal skills.

• Good attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team.

• Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets.

• Flexible approach to working hours.

• Must be able to wear an Airflow mask, as this is mandatory due to the nature of the work, and therefore must be clean shaven.
