A large, welcoming three-form entry primary school in Pulborough is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 1.
This is a rewarding opportunity to join a supportive and inclusive school where you will play a key role in helping children with additional needs access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and other support staff to provide targeted support for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Responsibilities

Provide SEN support within KS1 classrooms
Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions
Support pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
Encourage independence and positive engagement in lessons
Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider SEN team
Monitor and report on pupil progress

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

Has experience working with children in a school, nursery, or childcare setting
Has previous SEN experience or a strong interest in supporting children with additional needs
Is patient, nurturing, and resilient
Builds positive relationships with children and adults alike
Is proactive and able to use their initiative
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
