A friendly and well-established two-form entry primary school in Arundel is looking to appoint a caring and proactive Learning Support Assistant to support pupils within Key Stage 1.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of an experienced and welcoming team, helping children with additional needs access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential in a nurturing classroom environment.
The Role

Support pupils across Year 1 and Year 2 classrooms
Provide 1:1 and small-group SEN support
Assist children in accessing learning activities and classroom routines
Support academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and social development
Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement support strategies
Help promote positive behaviour and engagement throughout the school day
Deliver targeted interventions where required

SEN Experience Desirable
The school would particularly like to hear from candidates with experience supporting children with:

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
ADHD
Speech and Language Difficulties
Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH)
Sensory Processing Needs
Learning Delays and Developmental Needs

Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, or support setting
A patient, compassionate, and positive approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to work effectively within a team
Passion for supporting children with additional needs
Committed to helping pupils achieve the best possible outcomes
