Telehandler

We are currently recruiting an experienced telehandler driver for a short-term contract role on a busy residential new build site in Hornsea.

Working closely with the site manager and trade sub-contractors, you will play a key role in maintaining site logistics, managing material distribution across plots, and ensuring all lifts are executed safely and efficiently.

• Safely operating a telescopic handler across an active residential housing development.
• Unloading delivery lorries and distributing materials (bricks, blocks, timber, roof trusses) to designated plots.
• Assisting sub-contractors and site trades with scheduled overhead and ground material lifts.
• Carrying out daily pre-use plant checks, logging inspections, and maintaining machine cleanliness.
• Enforcing site traffic management plans, safe working load limits, and strict pedestrian segregation around live plots.
• Stepping off the machine during quieter periods to assist site management with general site housekeeping and keeping the compound organised.

• Valid CPCS or NPORS Card with Telescopic Handler category (Essential).
• Solid experience operating a Telehandler on residential new build housing developments.
• Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).
• Valid UK Driving Licence.
• Strong commitment to site health and safety standards.
• Excellent punctuality, reliability, and clear communication skills.
• Based in or easily commutable to Hornsea (East Riding of Yorkshire / Hull area).
