Are you a passionate, experienced Adult Social Worker dedicated to empowering individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex care needs?

City of Doncaster Council is recruiting a skilled Social Worker to join their specialist Learning Disabilities Team. Offering £32.00 per hour, this role is ideal for a dedicated practitioner focused on promoting independence, person-centred planning, and strength-based community care.

• Complex Assessments: Complete outcome-focused Care Act (2014) assessments, reviews, and support plans for adults with learning disabilities and autism.

• Safeguarding & Mental Capacity: Lead statutory adult safeguarding enquiries and conduct Mental Capacity Assessments (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) / LPS assessments.

• Promoting Independence: Work closely with individuals, carers, and families to facilitate independent living, supported housing transitions, and community integration.

• Multi-Agency Collaboration: Partner effectively with health colleagues, NHS trusts, advocacy services, and residential/day-care providers to deliver holistic care.

• Qualifications & SWE: Recognised Social Work qualification with active Social Work England (SWE) registration.

• Specialist Experience: Proven post-qualifying experience within statutory Adult Social Care, specifically working with learning disabilities, autism, or complex physical needs.

• Legislative Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Human Rights legislation.

• Mobility: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for community visits across the Doncaster borough.

• Competitive Rate: Earn £32.00 per hour.
