About this opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Education and Inclusion team supporting our work across the education system in Westmorland and Furness Council. We are advertising this role to develop our capacity to fulfil our LA statutory duties in education.

The work covers several areas including: Barrow Brilliant Futures Projects, Early Years, Schools, Alternative Provision, Post 16, SEND, Safeguarding and maintained school governance, SEND Reform programme support. This role is focused on supporting the LA in the effective delivery of their delivery programmes.

The role involves working closely with team, across Children’s Services and external agencies

Who we are looking for…

We are looking for someone who can support colleagues and assist in the delivery of priority work programmes, including governance.

You will be a skilled in planning, co-ordination, monitoring progress and supporting teams across a range of duties.

You need to be able to organise meetings and workshops, ensuring good administration and timely event planning for the successful delivery of each event and good coordination with attendees. You will have the ability to listen, question, advise and build positive relationships with individuals, education settings and governors.

You will need a qualification in business administration or equivalent and have experience in a wide range of educational environments.
