A secondary school in DN17 is looking for a Teaching Assistant to provide classroom and pastoral support to students. You will work alongside teaching staff to help students access their learning and make progress. This is a long term, temporary opportunity at a welcoming secondary school  in Scunthorpe.

What We’re Looking For:
• Develop positive relationships with students
• Support students with different learning needs, both academically and pastorally.
• Encourage students to engage with their learning and maintain appropriate professional boundaries
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures

Experience within education, childcare, youth work, support work or a similar setting would be useful.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:
• Support individuals and small groups where needed
• Help students remain focused during lessons
• Provide pastoral support throughout the school day
• Encourage positive behaviour and attitudes towards learning
• Support students who experience barriers to learning
• Work closely with class teachers and other members of staff
• Help students build independence in their learning
