Level 2 Teaching Assistant – EYFS / Reception

Desian Education are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Warrington who are looking to appoint a Level 2 qualified Teaching Assistant to join their Reception team on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who enjoys working within the EYFS and is passionate about creating engaging, inclusive learning experiences for young children.

Your new role:

Working as part of an experienced Reception team, you will support pupils throughout their day, helping them develop confidence, independence and key early learning skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

·       Supporting learning through play-based activities and continuous provision.

·       Delivering 1:1 phonics interventions using the Read Write Inc. (RWI) scheme.

·       Supporting children with additional learning needs (ALN) through tailored strategies and interventions.

·       Taking an active role in OPAL and Forest School-style outdoor play.

·       Supporting children’s communication, social and emotional development.

·       Working closely with the class teacher to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

·       Providing targeted 1:1 and small-group support where required.

What you need to succeed:

·       Hold a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare or a relevant equivalent.

·       Have experience working within EYFS, Reception or an early years setting.

·       Have a good understanding of phonics, ideally with experience using RWI.

·       Be confident supporting children with ALN/SEN.

·       Be enthusiastic about learning through play and outdoor learning.

·       Be nurturing, patient and able to build positive relationships with young children.

·       Have a proactive approach and be willing to get involved across all areas of school life.
