An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council’s Library Service, part of the wider Growth, Enterprise and Environment Directorate. We are currently recruiting for the following position:

Library Assistant – 16 hours per week
Please note: this role includes working every Saturday, with the remaining hours worked across weekdays.

We are seeking passionate, enthusiastic individuals who want to be part of our newly developed and evolving Library Service. If you’re motivated by delivering innovative, high-quality services to the community, we’d love to hear from you.

As a key member of our front-facing team, you will ideally bring experience from a library or customer service environment. You should also have some experience in planning, promoting, and delivering engaging events and activities.

We’re looking for someone who can work well within a team but is also proactive and self-motivated as we continue to develop and enhance our service offer.

This role requires flexibility, including working to a rota and covering different library locations across the Redcar and Cleveland area.
