Development Agreements Project Manager

What will you be doing?

A job opportunity has arisen to join the Development Agreements Team as a Development Agreements Project Manager (KSI Fixed Term Full Time Contract) for 18 months with a focus on clearing the backlog of Cold Case schemes. The role is based at Kroner House in Ashford, but candidates will be able to work flexibly via home working and working from other local depots.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who is looking to develop their career further. The successful candidate will focus on managing the closure of developer funded highway schemes, via Section 38 and Section 278 Agreements. This will include the overseeing the post construction stages of schemes include negotiating with developers to secure remedial works to relevant highway specifications, ensuring the council meets its obligations in relation to the collection of Health and Safety Files and As built information, and taking default action where necessary to organise works via the HTMC in response to developer noncompliance.

Knowledge of road construction design and civil engineering skills is required for this role, alongside an understanding of the Section 278 and Section 38 legal agreement and adoption process.
