Dorset Travel coordinate the transport provision for children and young people with additional needs within Dorset as well as out of county. The team also supply and support transport need for Mainstream, Child Care as well as Adults.
The vacancy is for a Peripatetic Passenger Assistant living in the Bridport Area contracted at approximately 18 hours per week - Term Time Only commencing at £13.48 per hour.
The role of a Passenger Assistant is to support children and young people providing additional assistance in maintaining a safe environment on the journey from/to home/school. This vacancy is for a Peripatetic Passenger Assistant from the Bridport Area to cover Regular Passenger Assistant absence. There is a requirement to travel if required.
Candidates need to be available morning and afternoon to coincide with school opening and closing times with all holiday leave to be taken in the school holidays.

Application of Epi Pen
Please note you will need to have Business Insurance as well as use of your own vehicle in order to undertake this role as well as attend Induction and Refresher Training.

In the first year of service this salary may need to be adjusted to ensure you are paid accurately to reflect your holiday entitlement. A similar adjustment may be made at the point your employment ends to ensure that you are paid accurately for the number of days worked in any academic year.
