We’re looking for an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to join a large and complex organisation, providing strategic and technical leadership across its enterprise data landscape.

This is a client-side architecture role, working across strategy, governance, delivery and operations to ensure data solutions are scalable, secure, well governed and aligned with business objectives.

What you’ll be doing

• Define and evolve enterprise data architecture standards, principles and patterns.

• Provide architecture governance and assurance across major programmes and projects.

• Develop strategic roadmaps for data platforms, data products and emerging data capabilities.

• Assess the impact of business and technology change across complex data and application estates.

• Work closely with enterprise architects, engineering teams, security, suppliers and senior stakeholders.

• Provide expertise across data governance, integration, metadata, data virtualisation and data products.

• Support the adoption of modern data technologies across AWS, Azure, on-premise and SaaS environments.

• Contribute to architecture forums, technical communities and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Mentor architects and technical teams, promoting best practice and innovation.

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience in Enterprise Data Architecture within complex organisations.

• Excellent understanding of enterprise data management and governance.

• Strong knowledge of AWS and/or Azure architecture.

• Experience with architecture governance, design assurance and strategic roadmapping.

• Understanding of modern data platforms, integration, metadata and data products.

• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

• Experience working across multiple technical teams, suppliers and business functions.

Experience within a large, regulated or public-sector environment would be advantageous.
