Key Responsibilities

As a Hotel Receptionist, you’ll play an important role in delivering a welcoming guest experience, with responsibilities including:

• Checking guests in and out
• Taking room reservations and allocating rooms for walk-in guests
• Handling guest enquiries and resolving complaints professionally
• Upselling upgraded rooms and promoting other hotel services
• Coordinating room status updates with housekeeping
• Communicating check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins and special requests
• Processing room charges, balancing and banking
• Operating the switchboard
• Checking function sheets and liaising with all departments
• Using Guestline to support day-to-day reception operations

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a confident and guest-focused Hotel Receptionist with previous experience within a hotel.

• Previous reception experience within a hotel
• Guestline experience is beneficial but training is provided
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A professional and welcoming approach
• Ability to remain organised and calm in a busy environment
• Confident working with guests and colleagues across all departments
