The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Consultant in Stroke Medicine to support services in the East of England.

This is a long-term locum opportunity covering a vacant consultant post, offering continuity of work ASAP to 27 January 2027. The role is ideal for an experienced Stroke Consultant who is confident managing acute and hyperacute stroke patients while working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver specialist stroke care across inpatient and acute services
• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with acute stroke and cerebrovascular conditions
• Participate in ward rounds, multidisciplinary meetings, and treatment planning
• Support timely patient flow and discharge planning
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision where required
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with NHS standards
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff, therapists, and the wider multidisciplinary team

What We're Looking For

• Full GMC registration with licence to practise
• Entry on the Specialist Register in a relevant specialty
• Recent NHS consultant-level experience in Stroke Medicine
• Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
• Right to work in the UK
