Engineering Machine Operative

Our Leeds based client are looking to recruit a skilled machine setter/operator on a temporary to permanent basis, you will be taken on to a permanent contract after completing 12 weeks through the agency, depending on timekeeping, attendance, and quality of work. Our client is a well-established company with a great reputation. They manufacture a bespoke product, that can be used in various industries. This role could offer progression for the right candidate.

THE ROLE:

• Setting-up and operating computer controlled and manual production machines.
• Loading of raw materials into production machinery
• Assembling goods
• Using lifting equipment and forklift trucks (If qualified)
• Packing goods ready for shipment in wooden crates or other containers
• Cleaning and maintaining machinery, work areas, factory, and warehouse.
• You may also be asked to perform other duties from time to time to help in other departments within production.

THE CANDIDATE:

• Previous experience in setting and operating production machinery is essential.
• The ability to concentrate while doing repetitive tasks.
• The ability to read drawings and follow instructions.
• Attention to QUALITY.
• MUST BE computer literate.
• Good practical hands-on skills
• The ability to work quickly and methodically.
• Good team working skills.

THE SALARY AND BENEFITS:

• Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.45pm
• Friday 8.00 am to 3.45 pm
• Free car parking
• Local eateries and fuel stations
• Temporary to Permanent
