We are seeking a caring, patient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our specialist SEN Unit, supporting autistic children and pupils with complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to children's lives while working alongside a dedicated and supportive team.

As a Teaching Assistant within our SEN Unit, you will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, develop independence and achieve success both academically and socially. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide high-quality support tailored to individual needs.

The role includes:

• Supporting pupils with autism and additional needs within our specialist provision.
• Assisting with learning activities and adapting resources to help children access the curriculum.
• Supporting communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and positive relationships.
• Supervising pupils during lunchtime and breaktimes to ensure a safe and positive environment.
• Providing personal care and medical support where required, with appropriate training and guidance.

• Enjoys working with children and is passionate about helping them succeed.
• Has experience working with children in a school or similar environment.
• Is patient, nurturing and able to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
• Is willing to learn and develop specialist knowledge of autism and SEND.
• Can remain calm, positive and resilient when supporting children with additional needs.
• Shares our commitment to inclusion and ensuring every child receives the support they need to flourish.

Experience of supporting pupils with autism, communication needs or complex needs would be advantageous but is not essential. We welcome applications from candidates with the enthusiasm, compassion and commitment to make a difference.
