No fixed hours or days (working hours can be flexible to suit your needs)

Are you passionate about working with children and young people with Autism and learning difficulties but are unable to commit to a full-time job? If so we may have the perfect job for you. We are looking for people to join our ‘bank staff’. You will receive all the training and benefits of a permanent member of staff without having to commit to the set Teaching Assistant Hours.

The Walnuts School is an all age (Reception to Year 14) special school for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Social Communication Difficulties with associated learning difficulties, operating across 2 Campuses in Milton Keynes.

If you have not worked in SEN before, but are enthusiastic and motivated to make the move, we will give you additional training and provide support.

Visits to the school are encouraged. The Walnuts School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. All successful applicants will require an enhanced DBS check. We are an equal opportunities employer.
