About the role
Our client is a growing construction company managing commercial projects across Brisbane and South East Queensland, with a portfolio ranging from $5m to $15m. They're looking for an experienced Contracts Administrator to join the team on a permanent basis, managing 2-3 projects autonomously. This is a role for someone who has run their own book of work, knows the local market, and can problem-solve on the fly. The position offers a salary of $120,000 to $160,000 plus superannuation.
- Manage 2-3 concurrent light commercial projects independently, with minimal supervision
- $120,000 to $160,000 plus superannuation, working with a team that values practical expertise
- Work across Brisbane and SEQ with strong local market knowledge and site exposure valued
- 5+ years' experience as a Contracts Administrator, with solid hands-on experience on ground-up construction and new build projects
- Proven ability to run projects autonomously as the sole CA, reporting directly to a Project Manager without ongoing support from senior staff or cadets
- Proficiency in Procore (essential), MS Project, and the Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with ProScan and Monday.com is a plus
- Strong practical problem-solving skills and the confidence to make decisions on site with minimal hand-holding
- Local knowledge of Brisbane and SEQ subcontractors, with site-based experience valued (such as early years as a cadet or in a site-based role)
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management or a related discipline, completed prior to taking on a Contracts Administrator role
- Demonstrated experience delivering light commercial projects from inception through completion
- Background outside quantity surveying preferred; candidates with QS experience considered only if exceptional
