Work Pattern: Mon – Fri , 9am till 5pm, 35 hours per week  – Flexible working. Office attendance once a week on a Thursday.

PAYE Pay Rate: £28.11 per hour

Main Purpose

To manage a caseload of Children Law and child protection matters, providing high-quality legal advice and representation. The role requires strong knowledge of relevant legislation, advocacy skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Typical Day

• Manage Children Law and child protection cases.
• Provide legal advice to clients and colleagues.
• Prepare cases and legal documentation.
• Attend court and undertake advocacy for own cases where required.
• Work closely with legal assistants and practice management.
• Meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
• Maintain accurate case records and progress matters efficiently.
• Work collaboratively with the wider legal team.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor/Barrister or experienced Children Law lawyer.
• Experience in Children Law / child protection.

• Advocacy experience and ability to attend court for own cases when required.
• Ability to work to tight timescales.
