Full-Time Year 4 Teaching Assistant

Are you an enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a welcoming primary school?

Zest Education are currently recruiting for a Full-Time Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Kingstanding, Birmingham, starting after the October half-term.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across the Year 4 curriculum, helping to create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

The role will involve:

• Supporting pupils within a Year 4 classroom
• Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
• Supporting pupils with their literacy and numeracy
• Helping children remain engaged and confident in their learning
• Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities and resources
• Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines
• Providing additional support to pupils who may require extra help

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working with children in a classroom-based setting
• Has experience within a primary school, ideally KS2
• Is confident supporting pupils with varying abilities and needs
• Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Is reliable, proactive and enthusiastic
• Can work effectively as part of a school team
• Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant or childcare qualification, although qualifications are preferred rather than essential

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
